Overview

This training has a focus on introducing the students to embedded Linux world.

Objectives

  • Introduce embedded Linux and explain main components on an embedded Linux system
  • Understand what software components required to build an embedded Linux system & why
  • Understand the architecture and components of Linux kernel
  • Understand different compile/build methodologies
  • Experience building & booting a Linux kernel from scratch
  • Experience and practice native and cross-compilation processes

Who should attend?

  • Anyone who wants to get an initial understanding of embedded Linux concepts and development

Pre-requisites

  • Basic Linux command line knowledge is a plus
